Step 02
Steel furniture production is a sequence of forming, joining, finishing and assembly steps. The exact route, tooling and tolerances differ between product groups and between supplying units, so the process is described here as a route rather than as a fixed procedure.
Step 03
Cold-rolled steel sheet is cut, pierced and folded into panels, doors, drawer fronts and shelves. Sheet thickness and steel grade are the two values that most affect stiffness, weight and price, and neither is published as a general figure on this site.
Step 04
Joints, seams and fasteners decide how a cabinet behaves under load and after transport. Some products are welded assemblies, others are knock-down designs with mechanical fasteners, and the choice affects packing volume and assembly at destination.
Step 05
Surface treatment covers cleaning and pre-treatment followed by powder coating and curing. Colour, gloss and film build are agreed per order, and the coating performance depends on the pre-treatment step, which is not visible in a finished product.
Step 06
Inspection is agreed as a scope before production, not assumed afterwards. A typical scope covers dimensions, panel fit, lock and drawer function, coating appearance and packing, and can be extended when the buyer has specific requirements.
Step 07
Customization ranges from a colour or lock change on an existing model to a new size, internal layout or a private-label programme. What is feasible depends on the supplying unit, the tooling already available and the order volume, so each request is reviewed against the confirmed factory before anything is promised.
Step 08
Packing protects the product during handling and decides how much fits in a container. Knock-down packing reduces volume for some models; assembled packing protects a finished cabinet but costs more space. Loading plans are prepared against the confirmed carton dimensions.
Step 09
One coordinator follows the order from brief to shipment: confirming the model with the supplying unit, aligning the quotation with the confirmed specification, tracking approval steps and keeping the buyer informed of what has been agreed and what is still open.
The same rule applies across every step on this page: a value is either confirmed for a model, confirmed for your order, or it is not published at all. Dimensions, steel grade and thickness, finish, lock and packing are model values. Inspection scope, documents, loading plan and the Incoterm are order values. It depends on the product group and the unit. Shearing, bending, welding, pre-treatment, coating and assembly may be split across the unit and its own subcontractors. This is confirmed for the specific model rather than assumed from a general profile.
Yes, that can be arranged when it is agreed before production. The scope, sampling basis, who attends and which record is issued are fixed for the order. A third-party inspection does not by itself certify a specification that was never agreed.
Colour, lock type, shelf layout, size adjustments, logo and packaging are the usual requests. Feasibility depends on the supplying unit, existing tooling and volume, so tooling cost, minimum quantity and lead time impact are reviewed before anything is promised.
Packing follows the confirmed model and the route: knock-down where the model allows it and where lower shipping volume matters, assembled where protection of a finished unit matters more. Carton dimensions, weights and loading quantity are confirmed per model.
Certificates are only referenced when a document for the exact product and destination has actually been supplied. A certificate for a similar product or another market is not presented as applying to your order.
A production and shipment plan is agreed for the order, and the known stages are reported as they complete. Transit time depends on the carrier and route, so it is quoted rather than promised as a fixed guarantee.
